A Letter to Our Patrons

May 20, 2020

Dear Friends,

Things changed in a heartbeat. On March 7, we announced our exciting new season. And then came the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Due to the uncertainty ahead of us, we have planned – as much as one can plan – a Season allowing for flexibility, an open-ended Flex Season hopefully starting in February 2021 – in an order that could change, ending whenever those five events are finished.

Instead of beginning our five shows with our 10-Minute Play Festival: THE CAMPOUT this June or July, we are hoping to open with TARTUFFE in February 2021. We will “CAMPOUT” in the summer of 2021.

Though the specifics of when and how to reopen will still depend on public safety, Heartland Theatre will go on to provide amazing theatre for Central Illinois.

Please know that nothing is more important than your health and well-being. This, above all else, has guided us in making this decision.

We recognize, of course, that this is an ever changing situation that may require further adjustments to our calendar. We will inform you of those changes should they be necessary.

There is one thing you can be sure of: Heartland Theatre will be there for you when we get through this. We will continue to bring you the kind of professional quality theatre that you have come to expect from us. We are privileged to have that opportunity.

We’ll see you out here! Soon.
