For people who want to see a play at Heartland, but find it challenging to find child care: have we got a deal for you!
Bring your children who are Kindergarten – 6th Grade to Heartland on Saturdays before the 2:00 pm matinee, for a free theatre class for kids in the Community Room next to the box office window at Heartland.
A group of students from the Illinois State Theatre Outreach Program (ISTOP) will provide theatre games and loads of fun while you sit back and enjoy some adult time in the theatre. All ISTOP students involved are in the ISU Theatre Education program. They have been background checked and are currently working in area schools.
Parents and Grandparents get 2-for-1 tickets to the show and child care is covered during the performance!
Make reservations and mention “Play Date” and the number of children coming with you. Arrive by 1:40 pm to deliver your children to class and pick up your 2-for-1 tickets to enjoy the play! DEADLINE TO RESERVE IS THE THURSDAY PRIOR TO THE PLAY DATE MATINEE FOR EACH SHOW.
CALL THE BOX OFFICE AT 309-452-8709 or EMAIL [email protected] for more information or to make a Play Date reservation.
